Station agent

Purpose

The agent runs on your computer and sends radio status and new QSOs. It supports WSJT-X/JTDX, N1MM+, UDP ADIF and CAT through rigctld or flrig. Offline work stays in a local queue and is retried when connectivity returns.

Setup

Under Account → Devices and Field API, issue an Agent: write QSOs and status token. Copy it immediately: it is shown only once. In your local hamfolio-agent.toml, set the token, callsign, Hamfolio HTTPS address and logger ports using agent/config.example.toml in the repository. From the agent directory run python -m hamfolio_agent --config hamfolio-agent.toml. Python 3.11 or newer is required. Windows/Linux instructions and a sample configuration are in agent/README.md in the repository.

Missing ON AIR or QSOs

Check the token, callsign, UDP port, firewall and whether another program occupies the port. The agent has high ON AIR priority; status expires without further heartbeats. Revoked tokens stop working immediately. Do not expose logger UDP ports to the internet.
